Engine trouble causes laker to run aground in St. Lawrence River

(CARDINAL, Ontario) — A bulk carrier full of grain ran aground in the St. Lawrence River, the Recorder & Times newspaper of Brockville reported. Three tugboats are assisting the laker CSL Assiniboine, which was eastbound when it experienced engine trouble and exited the channel. The grounding is near Ogdensburg, N.Y.
