WWII-era tug Comanche ordered to move from Wash. anchorage

(OLYMPIA, Wash.) — The circa 1940s tugboat Comanche has been ordered by state officials to move from its recent anchorage in Budd Inlet, the Olympian newspaper reported. The 143-foot steel vessel is the last of 89 heavy-duty oceangoing tugs built for the Navy during the World War II era. While it is being refurbished by a foundation, it has been moved to Tacoma temporarily but still needs to find a permanent dock.
