Canada’s maritime security ‘spy’ center keeps eye on incoming ships

(HALIFAX) — Canada’s Marine Security Operations Centre in Halifax constantly watches all ships headed toward its ports, the Chronicle Herald newspaper reported. Its commander says the “spy” center is helping to prevent terrorism in North America. Canada’s military, coast guard, Royal Canadian Mounted Police and transport and fisheries officials jointly operate the facility.
