(DAYTON, Ohio) — A containership captain with ties to Dayton calls the situation in the Gulf of Aden “complete anarchy,” the Dayton Daily News newspaper reported. Shaun Hughes, who now lived in California, is a captain on the Maersk Virginia. Last month he was able to outrun a pair of pirate boats, which then attacked another vessel.
