Cap Blanc sinking probe likely to focus on the loading of its cargo

(HALIFAX, Nova Scotia) — The investigation into the sinking of the Cap Blanc off Newfoundland is likely to focus foremost on the loading of the cargo, the Canadian Press reported. The search for the four missing mariners had been called off. Maritime experts say investigators likely will try to determine how the cargo of road salt was secured, as well as the experience of the crew, condition of the ship and the vessel’s stability book.
