(NAIROBI) — A Miami-based U.S. Coast Guard official testified during a court hearing on a Somali piracy attack on the MV Amira in the Indian Ocean, the news Web site AllAfrica.com reported. Andrew Boshears said a fishing-type vessel that was boarded had no fishing equipment but instead contained firearms, which is unusual. Seventeen Somalis are on trial for the attack.
