Transocean crew does maintenance, waits for instruction (PHOTOS)

(ABOARD DEVELOPMENT DRILLER II) — A Transocean drill ship in the Gulf of Mexico is undergoing maintenance while the crew waits for word on whether the vessel will be needed for further work at the Deepwater Horizon site, The Advocate newspaper of Louisiana reported. Development Driller II is near the exact same position where the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded, and the DD II crew knew some of the men on the burning rig. For that reason, the BP and Transocean personnel aboard the DD II feel a special need to help in the relief-well work.
