(WASHINGTON) — Registration is now open for the National Maritime Strategy Symposium: Cargo Opportunities and Sealift Capacity, being hosted by the Maritime Administration in Washington, D.C. from Jan. 14 through Jan. 16, 2014. The purpose of this public meeting is to gather ideas for improving, expanding and strengthening key aspects of the marine transportation system. This initial meeting will focus on the opportunities and challenges for growing the U.S.-flagged international fleet. The public, officials and marine transportation stakeholders have until Jan. 8, 2014 to register to attend, speak, or listen by phone.
