Ohio River towboat crew discovers unique stowaway: a bobcat

(VIENNA, W.V.) — A towboat and barges were delayed after the crew discovered that a bobcat was a stowaway on the tow, the News and Sentinel of Parkersburg reported. The crew of the Vernon C. Smith reported the wildcat to West Virginia environmental authorities. A biologist showed up to get the bobcat off the barge, and he said he once heard of a similar case involving a deer.
