Guam port expansion goes forward after Obama approves $50M

(HAGATNA, Guam) — Now that President Obama has approved $50 million to expand Guam’s port, the port authority is moving forward with its expansion plans, the Pacific Daily News reported. The project involves new terminals, wharf repairs, dredging and cranes. The expansion is necessary because of the planned U.S. military buildup at Guam.
