(NEW ORLEANS) — Conrad Shipyard has been awarded an $8.5 million contract to refurbish a barge for NASA’s next-generation Space Launch System, the New Orleans Advocate reported. The 260-foot Pegasus previously was used to ferry space shuttle fuel tanks from New Orleans to the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
