Chouest affiliate gets $9.4 million MSC option

The following is the text of a news release from the U.S. Defense Department:

(WASHINGTON) — Offshore Service Vessels LLC, Galliano, La., is awarding a $9,471,750 modification under a previously awarded firm-fixed-price contract (N00033-13-C-2001) to fund the fourth, one-year option period. The option will continue to provide the U.S.-flagged vessel M/V C-Champion for maritime security operations in support of Commander, Special Operations Command Pacific in accordance with the terms of the charter. 

The vessel is capable of deployment to worldwide locations. Work will be performed worldwide and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2017. Fiscal 2017 working capital funds (Navy) in the amount of $9,471,750 will be obligated at the time of award. Funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. 

Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Va., is the contracting activity (N00033-13-C-2001).
