Austal USA plans to double Mobile work force as result of Navy deal

(MOBILE, Ala.) — The U.S. Navy plan to order 10 new Littoral Combat Ships from Austal USA, television station WALA reported. The Mobile shipyard will double its work forces as a result of the contract. Construction is scheduled to begin in about six months after President Obama approves the decision.
