Quick response limits damage from crane-cab fire

The 636-foot Deep Energy, seen at an unknown date, is one of the world’s largest and fastest reeled rigid pipe-laying vessels. A fire that broke out in the vessel’s knuckle boom crane cabin during maintenance in December 2024 prompted a response from the crew, U.S. Coast Guard and local firefighters.
