Air bladders fail in attempt to salvage sunken BC tug (PHOTO)

(MAPLE RIDGE, British Columbia) — A salvage crew using air bladders has failed to lift a small tugboat that sank in 50 meters of water in Alouette Lake reservoir, the Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows News newspaper reported. The MV Sheila was lifted to about 20 meters from the surface when the boat flipped over and went to the bottom again. A BC Hydro crane barge may try to retrieve the boat.
