Navy enlists civilian cargo ship in battle against Somalia pirates

(WASHINGTON) — The U.S. Navy has enlisted a civilian cargo ship in its campaign against pirates in the Gulf of Aden, the newspaper Stars and Stripes reported. The USNS Lewis and Clark will be used as a staging vessel. It’s the first U.S. ship equipped for confinement of captured pirates.
