(BRUSSELS) — A U.S.-flagged cargo ship was attacked by pirates in the Indian Ocean, the news service Agence France-Presse reported. The SS Harriette was able to fend off the pirates, who attacked from two skiffs using a ladder, automatic weapons and rocket-propelled grenades. The captain used evasive maneuvers to thwart the boarding.
