Two escape through window as tugboat sinks at N.H. bridge project, with VIDEO

(PORTSMOUTH, N.H.) — Two crewmembers needed to escape through a window and jump to a barge when a tugboat sank, the Portsmouth Herald newspaper reported. The Maine-based tugboat Benjamin Bailey had a plume of black smoke coming from it before it struck a barge and sank in the Piscataqua River. It was the second serious maritime casualty this year at the Memorial Bridge replacement project.
