Tugboat sinks while assisting another vessel in Miami River

The following is the text of a press release issued by the U.S. Coast Guard:
 
(MIAMI) — The acting Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Capt. Cyndi Stowe, reopened the Miami River to all vessel traffic at approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday following a tug boat sinking and blocking the entrance. Salvage operators safely refloated the sunken tug boat, Minnie Mouse, and is towing the vessel to Jones Boat Yard in Miami.
Coast Guard Sector Miami received a report at 10:35 a.m. from the motor vessel Bimini Cat that the 25-foot tug boat sank at the entrance to the Miami River. The Minnie Mouse, owned by Jones Boat Yard, was assisting the Bimini Cat when it sank.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.
