(SAN DIEGO) — Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood addressed the nation’s first-ever Port Summit, the San Diego Union-Tribune reported. LaHood said port and other maritime hubs can help lead the nation to new economic growth. The Department of Transportation is planning to offer $600 million in funding to port authorities.
