(SQUAMISH, British Columbia) — A tugboat and barge ran aground in Mamquam Blind Channel, the newspaper The Chief reported. The Mercury Launch & Tug Ltd. vessels were transporting a fuel tanker truck and excavator, which remained upright. Squamish harbor officials say the grounding is further proof that the channel is in dire need of dredging.
