(ROCKLAND, Maine) — A Coast Guard cutter helped stabilize a freight barge that began listing when two large trucks aboard the vessel rolled over in heavy seas, The Courier-Gazette reported. The vessel was heading to North Haven when it ran into 20-knot winds and seas up to 10 feet, causing a concrete truck and tractor-trailer to roll onto their sides. The cutter Abbie Burgess responded, staying on the windward side of the barge to block the wind until the vessel could reach its destination.
