Towboat spills diesel fuel into Ohio River during pumpout

(MOUNT VERNON, Ind.) — A towboat spilled diesel fuel into the Ohio River as a result of a problem with a fuel transfer, the Evansville Courier & Press newspaper reported. The fuel bilge on the Marty B was being pumped out when about 100 gallons spilled into the river. The vessel owner is Mount Vernon Barge Service.
