(NEW YORK) — A collection of shipping industry groups has urged the United Nations to establish an armed anti-piracy force, Reuters reported via Yahoo! News. The four organizations recently sent a letter to Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. The letter bluntly states that “control of the Indian Ocean has been ceded to pirates” and a dedicated military force is necessary to change that.
