Ship with spilled uranium inside hold sails back to Vancouver

(VANCOUVER, British Columbia) — A ship carrying uranium that spilled into a hold during rough weather at sea has tied up in the Port of Vancover, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported. Cameco and Canadian government authorities are discussing possible remediation plans. Two drums of uranium spilled into a hold on the Altona as the vessel was en route to China, prompting the crew to turn around and sail back to Canada.
