Ship arrested in Virginia after damaging crane it had just delivered

(PORTSMOUTH, Va.) — A Chinese ship that damaged a crane at APM Terminals has been arrested by U.S. Marshals, the Virginian-Pilot newspaper reported. The Zhen Hua 24 owners are defendants in a lawsuit filed by the port that seeks $14.65 million in damages. The lawsuit says the ship was departing the berth when another crane onboard the vessel clipped the boom of a crane it had just delivered to the dock, knocking that crane off its tracks and rendering it inoperable.
