Russian cargo ship towed to port after losing power off British Columbia (UPDATE)

(VICTORIA, British Columbia) — A Russian cargo ship laden with fuel was towed safely to port Monday three days after losing power off British Columbia, CBC News reported. The Canadian Coast Guard said Simushir was incapacitated in gale-force winds Thursday night and was drifting before being secured by the tugboat Barbara Foss. The disabled ship was reportedly carrying 400 tonnes of bunker fuel and 50 tonnes of diesel.
