(STOCKTON, Calif.) — The Port of Stockton has taken over management of its Marine Highway barge initiative, the Stockton Record newspaper reported. Since 2011, the project had been managed by Salvage Cos., which was not able to make enough progress in its cooperation with Port of Oakland officials. The Port of Stockton said the barges, cranes and docks are ready, and personnel have been trained to operate the equipment.
