(BALTIMORE) — The cruise ship Pearl Mist embarked on its maiden voyage Wednesday from Baltimore's Inner Harbor, eight years after it was scheduled for delivery, The Baltimore Sun reported. A lengthy legal dispute between the ship's buyer, Pearl Seas Cruises, and its builder, Irving Shipbuilding of Canada, was settled last year. Pearl Seas had alleged that the ship was not built to specifications and questioned whether it met safety and environmental standards.
