(NEW YORK) — A U.S. District Court will rule soon on Odyssey Marine’s $500 million shipwreck find off Portugal, NBC’s Todayshow.com reported. Chief Executive Greg Stemm said he offered to split the proceeds with Spain, which would receive all cultural relics from the suspected wreck of the warship Nuestra Senora de las Mercedes. Spain insists the entire haul, including hundreds of thousands of gold and silver coins, are the property and “national partrimony” of Spain.
