Oceaneering Int’l deploys subsea installation ship in Gulf (VIDEO)

(PANAMA CITY, Fla.) — Oceaneering International has leased a large ship that provide subsea “umbilical” installation in the Gulf of Mexico, the television station WJHG reported. The 312-foot Installation IV is mostly being used off the Texas coast, but officials with the Florida-based company say it’s ready to move off the Florida Panhandle if the federal government approves new oil activity there.
