New Seattle port program reduces ships’ dockside emissions

(SEATTLE) — The Port of Seattle recently unveiled its new program to reduce emissions from ships at dock, Examiner.com reported. The program known as ABC Fuels eliminates as much as 80 percent of pollutants through the use of low-sulphur fuel. A demonstration has been held aboard Matson Navigation’s Manoa, and many other ship operators are participating.
