New dates announced for CMA Shipping due to coronavirus

The following is text of a news release from CMA Shipping:

(STAMFORD, Conn.) — As we have previously advised, we have been reviewing the situation regarding the coronavirus situation on a daily basis, and although we had been hopeful that CMA Shipping 2020 would go on as planned, the latest developments have reached a state where we must postpone the event, as many others are doing as well.

Our primary concern is the health and safety of the attendees, but we also want to be able to provide an environment where all of our attendees, new and old friends alike, can enjoy three days of fellowship together, to discuss the important topics of the day, in each others company. Of course, considering the spreading of the coronavirus at this time, we simply cannot guarantee such an environment, which truly is not only the the very foundation of our event, but also of our community, and it is our community that has always made the CMA Shipping Conference such a special industry event.

We have therefore made the decision to postpone CMA Shipping 2020 until June 29-July 1, 2020, and we hope that all of our friends will be able to join us at that time. We know that you all will understand and agree that we must proceed cautiously in order to avoid placing anyone at risk.

All participants and speakers currently registered for the conference, trade show and exhibition have automatically been re-booked for the June edition of the event. No further action is necessary to confirm your participation.

If you have already booked your hotel accommodation, please reach out to the Hilton directly over the next seven days to move your hotel booking to June.
