(BRONX, N.Y.) — The Brooklyn, N.Y.-based tanker M/V North River regularly transports tons of human sewage sludge, the New York Times reported in a feature story. The twin-screw tanker can carry 85,000 cubic feet of human waste at a time. The cargo may stink, but Capt. Frank Bryn there’s “never a down day.”
