Navy to escort U.S.-flagged ships near Iran

(WASHINGTON) — U.S. Navy warships will accompany every U.S.-flagged commercial vessel that passes through the Strait of Hormuz due to concerns that Iran's navy could try to seize a U.S. cargo ship, CNN reported. The Pentagon approved the plan after Revolutionary Guard ships harassed a U.S.-flagged vessel, Maersk Kensington, last week and then seized a Marshall Islands-flagged cargo ship, Maersk Tigris, on Tuesday.
