NASSCO lays keel for first ECO-class tanker

(SAN DIEGO) — General Dynamics NASSCO has laid the keel for the first of three fuel-efficient tankers for Florida-based Seacor, the Times of San Diego reported. The 610-foot Jones Act ships have been designated as ECO class, offering the latest environmental protection features. Each will be 50,000 dwt with a 330,000-barrel cargo capacity.
