U.S. approves licenses to restore Cuba ferry service

(WASHINGTON) — The Treasury Department has issued licenses to at least two companies to restore passenger ferry service between the United States and Cuba, Reuters reported. One license was issued to Miami, Fla.-based Baja Ferries USA; another was issued to Puerto Rico-based America Cruise Ferries. Ferry service between the two countries was cut off in the early 1960s after the revolution that brought Fidel Castro to power.
