N.C. oyster restoration provides work for Steven's Towing (PHOTO)

(BELHAVEN, N.C.) — A $5 million oyster restoration project in the Outer Banks is providing jobs for mariners in the region, the Outer Banks Sentinel newspaper of Nags Head reported. Steven's Towing is among the companies that is hiring back workers for the two-year federal economic stimulus project. Tugs and barges are hauling limestone marl from Belhaven to a pair of oyster sanctuaries offshore.
