(SOOKE, British Columbia) — Two boaters have been charged with arson in connection with the torching of a derelict tugboat in Sooke Harbor, the Times Colonist newspaper of Victoria reported. The 65-year-old vessel Florence Filberg was abandoned and grounded on a sandbar when the alleged arsonists set it afire July 3. Officials are still debating who will pay the $120,000 cleanup costs.
