Mustang Survival to preview new gear at Vancouver Boat Show

(BURNABY, British Columbia) — Mustang Survival will be displaying its spring 2016 range of Elite inflatable personal flotation devices (PFDs) and new traction gloves at the Vancouver Boat Show, Jan. 20-24. Additionally, as the official PFD partner of the show, Mustang Survival will provide free on-site inflatable PFD inspection services to all boat show attendees.

“We’re very happy to again be able to help boaters visiting the show to ensure their gear is in good working condition,” said Brian Milligen, director of Canadian and international sales at Mustang Survival. “The complimentary service will include a visual inspection and inflation test and is a great opportunity to learn more about the performance features of our inflatable PFDs.”

In addition, Mustang Survival will install any required replacement components that will be available at discounted prices through its retail partners at the show.

The spring 2016 range being presented at the show brings performance to the forefront with the introduction of two new Elite PFDs, gloves and accessories — all of which will be available for purchase at the show.

• The Elite 38: Built tough, the Elite 38 blends light weight with durability and Mustang Survival’s highest buoyancy rating for commercial inflatable PFDs at 38 pounds. The lightweight body armor industry outer shell is reinforced with TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) abrasion patches in hard wearing areas. The bright fluorescent yellow/green inflation cell greatly improves in-water visibility and includes a strobe light holder and safety whistle.
• The Elite 28K: The most versatile PFD, the Elite 28K brings together motion and adaptability with a MOLLE attachment system commonly used in military applications. A separate MOLLE-compatible pocket is available and, along with the lash tab and attachment points, allows for secure stowage and retrieval of essential tools and gear. The slim 3D chassis helps to reduce interference, and the integrated back panel has been designed to fit kayak seats.
• Traction gloves: Engineered for fishing and a first for Mustang Survival, the traction gloves provide a 30 to 50 percent grip improvement over bare hands. The two models available include a fingerless glove when dexterity is a must, and a full-finger glove for cold and wet conditions with touchscreen-friendly conductive fingertips.

This expansion of the Mustang Survival range follows the highly successful 2014 introduction of the original Elite PFD. Find out more about the spring 2016 range at www.mustangsurvival.com/spring2016.

The inspection services will be available from show opening up to two hours before show close. For show hours, visit www.vancouverboatshow.ca/show-info/hours/.
