Mustang Survival Showcases Rescue Solutions for Fire Fighters at FDIC 2010

April 8, 2010 (Bellingham, WA) – Mustang Survival will be showcasing its complete line of rescue solutions for fire fighters at the annual Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) from April 19 to April 24 in Indianapolis, IN. New to this year’s show will be Mustang Survival’s MRV050 Near Shore Water Rescue Vest, specifically designed to be more compact and lightweight while still providing ample buoyancy required for emergency flotation.

The MRV050 rescue vest’s low profile and short-waist design provides maximum mobility and comfort for rescuers working in rigorous conditions. Front storage pockets, Fast tab and D-ring attachments provide quick and convenience access to radios, lights, and other essential rescue tools. Reflective tape on both the front and back of the vest provides maximum visibility.

Aside from its complete line of rescue equipment, including ice and water rescue suits, foam and inflatable flotation vests, and compact water rescue kits, Mustang also provides custom solutions catered specifically to fire fighters. Most recently, Mustang worked with an East Coast fire department on customizing one of its inflatable vests to meet specific equipment requirements. The selected Mustang inflatable, popular with professional users including law enforcement officers and commercial fishermen, is lightweight, comfortable, and ideal for extended wear conditions requiring maximum mobility.

“We were excited to work with this fire department on customizing one of our inflatable vests to meet their specific safety challenges over water,†says Michael Grupa, Mustang’s Business Development Director, Professional Market, “We delivered to them a durable and reliable custom solution designed to fit their existing rescue gear, enhancing their safety while they are out there, saving lives.â€

FDIC is one of the largest conferences focused on beneficial training, nationally and internationally, for all levels of fire service practitioners. This year’s conference will host more than 24 hands-on training programs, 34 pre-conference workshops, and more than 160 classroom presentations.

Mustang will be showcasing its complete line of rescue solutions in booth #534. Attendees are invited to enter a draw to win their choice of an ice rescue suit or a water rescue dry suit. Visit www.mustangsurvival.com/fdic to download the contest entry postcard and for more show information.
