Municipal officials to appeal Coast Guard finding for Mass. LNG

(SOMERSET, Mass.) — Local officials plan to appeal the Coast Guard’s decision to approve a recommendation in favor of allowing LNG tankers in the Taunton River, the Herald News newspaper of Fall River reported. They believe there is a problem with ships transiting under bridges on their way to Weavers Cove. Coast Guard officials already have said the recommendation letter was proper.
