Maine yard gets new Navy contracts worth $57 million

(BATH, Maine) — The Department of Defense on Tuesday announced $57 million in new funding for contracts with Bath Iron Works, the Bangor Daily News reported. The award includes $28.7 million for Navy fleet maintenance and $28.7 million for engineering work on the littoral combat ship. The maintenance will be done in San Diego; the LCS work will be done at the Bath shipyard, Pittsfield, Mass., and Mobile, Ala.
