(BAR HARBOR, Maine) — State environmental officials confirmed that sewage was in the water at Bar Harbor when an American Cruise Lines vessel called there last month, Portland television station WCSH reported. Lab results showed that the large, foul-smelling plume contained sewage. The ship’s crew denies discharging the sewage, and state officials said they cannot be 100 percent sure the vessel was the source.
