Judge delays sentencing of Somali pirate in Maersk Alabama case

(NEW YORK) — A U.S. court has delayed the sentencing of a the lone captured Somali pirate involved in the Maersk Alabama hijacking, Cable News Network reported. The pirate was accused of being the ringleader in the attack in which the ship was taken and the captain held hostage before U.S. Navy Seals shot other pirates dead and rescued the hostage. The judge on Tuesday adjourned the sentencing to an unspecified later date, without further explanation.
