(HEBRON, Ky.) — Inland Marine Service Inc. (IMS) has launched a new tankering and plant service division called Inland Marine Tankering LLC (IMT).
IMS is a marine management company employing over 700 professional mariners annually. The company is based in Hebron, Ky., with operations in Paducah, Ky., St. Louis, Mo., New Orleans, La., and Houston, Texas.
“Two years ago, IMS began diversifying into other marine-related business segments. In addition to vessel management, planned maintenance, compliance management, harbor services and liquid operations, we now have tankering services to offer our current and future customers,” said Dave Hammond, president of IMS.
IMS has partnered with Shawn Hantz of Third Coast Tankering LLC to form the new company. “Shawn Hantz brings many years of safe transfers, integrity and knowledge to Inland Marine Tankering LLC,” said Hammond. “IMT customers can expect 24-hour service, unconditional integrity, and trust. We will provide safe, accurate transfers completed by trained professional tankermen.”

IMT services include loading/unloading liquid tank barges and in-plant services for refineries and third-party facilities as well as offering customized training programs.
