Icom launches new M25 VHF marine handheld radio

(KIRKLAND, Wash.) — Icom America introduces the IC-M25, the marine industry's new compact and lightweight floating 5W handheld radio. Icom's new VHF radio features the company's popular Float 'N Flash function and a long-lasting internal battery that is charged with a micro USB connector. The radio is available with metallic gray, pearl white or marine blue color accents.

The new IC-M25 builds upon Icom's celebrated M24 handheld with several enhancements. The M25 is light and compact, weighing approximately 7.8 oz. and measuring 1.2 inches in slim dimensions. The M25 includes an internal 1500mAh battery, which can be charged via micro USB connector or a smartphone charging accessory. Typical battery life is up to 11 hours of operation.

The IPX7 waterproof M25 also features Icom's popular Float 'N Flash, a function that emits a bright red flashing LED when the radio is dropped in water. The radio delivers powerful 550 mW audio output and can be connected to a new optional speaker microphone (HM-213). The Mil-Spec chassis features a large backlit LCD, simple user interface and sleek, stylish two-tone color variations: black/metallic gray; black/pearl white; and black/marine blue.

The new M25 in metallic gray is available now; pearl white and marine blue color choices are available late summer 2015. All radios have a suggested retail price of $245. For more information, contact an authorized Icom dealer and visit the M25 product page online.
