(ANCHORAGE, Alaska) — A humpback whale was impaled by a Princess cruise ship, Reuters reported. The Sapphire Princess was sailing near Juneau when the whale was discovered pinned to the ship’s bulbous bow. The company in 2007 paid a $750,000 to settle criminal charges that one of its vessels was sailing too fast in a whale area.
