(WELLAND, Ontario) — Grain shipments on the Great Lakes rose 51 percent in August, the Tribune newspaper reported. One reason was that Russia suspended grain exports because of tight supplies. Iron ore, coal and steel volumes also are up this year on the Great Lakes.
