Fourth body recovered after Baltimore bridge collapse

(BALTIMORE) — The Unified Command recovered the body of another missing victim, the fourth of six, at the Francis Scott Key Bridge incident site Sunday. The bridge collapsed after being hit by the containership Dali on March 26.

At the request of the family, the victim’s name is not being disclosed at this time. The victim, a construction worker, was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner and was positively identified on Monday.

Salvage teams located what they believed to be one of the missing construction vehicles on the bridge at the time of the collapse and promptly notified the Maryland State Police. The state police, the FBI and the Maryland Transportation Authority Police responded and located a deceased victim trapped inside the vehicle.

Investigators from the Maryland State Police, along with an FBI victim specialist and linguist, Baltimore County Mobile Crisis Team, and the Governor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs met with and notified family members Monday.
